Fairport Tunnelling Technologies (FTT) became a newly established division of Fairport Engineering Limited in 2021. Fairport Engineering Limited has now been acquired by pxGroup, and as a result, FTT has become pxFairport.
We are an Engineering and Projects Delivery business specializing in the design, installation, management, and consultancy of bulk material handling systems across various sectors, with specific expertise in tunnelling, aggregates, and ports. With extensive industry experience, our recent projects have been successfully delivered in the UK, Europe, and Asian markets.
The OpportunityThe Project Engineer role supports coordinating and specifying the engineering and technical elements of project delivery.
This role may involve taking ownership of a study or minor project or supporting the Senior Project Engineer in delivering major projects. You will focus on task identification and management of engineering requirements, ensuring compliance with contractual information, safety standards, and statutory regulations. This is a customer-facing role working closely with the Project Manager and Department Heads to meet programme and budget targets.
Minimum Requirements- BEng (Hons) in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineering)
- Previous experience in an engineering field
- Knowledge of the construction and process industries and applicable standards
- Understanding of control system operating principles and directives
- Ability to plan, manage, and report on project tasks and responsibilities
