Project Director / Director

Overview

We're looking for a Project Director to join our construction team based in London. Contract: Full time, Permanent.

As Project Director, you'll be in a leadership role, responsible for overseeing the delivery of a portfolio of projects with heritage and historical significance - from preconstruction through to delivery. You'll provide strategic direction, ensure quality outcomes, and lead operational excellence across all phases.

Responsibilities

• Leading operational communications and relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
• Overseeing build progress, financial performance, and ensuring quality delivery.
• Providing leadership and direction to Project Managers and delivery teams, and delivering timely and accurate reporting on progress to the client and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• This role requires a highly experienced person in major projects.
• Proven experience in leading high value construction projects/portfolio management within a Tier 1 environment.
• Experience in listed buildings, historical/heritage development in prominent central London live sites.
• Strong stakeholder management and client facing skills.
• Deep understanding of project/portfolio management methodologies, risk management, and commercial governance.
