Project Development Engineer

B.E.S. (Business & Engineering Solutions) is growing and thus welcoming a new Project Development Engineer in our automotive team.

As a Project Development Engineer at B.E.S., you will enjoy a collaborative environment where you will work closely with others in an organisation focused on innovation.

Your responsibilities :

• Leading projects from concept to validation for wheels, anti-theft nuts, center caps, and winter wheel sets.
• Acting as the interface between engineering, suppliers, and styling teams, ensuring technical feasibility and aesthetic alignment.
• Understanding and modifying 3D CAD models in CATIA to review and implement changes.
• Managing technical requirements, creating and reviewing part specifications (Part Numbers, compatibility with vehicles, etc.).
• Validating carry-over potential of wheels across different vehicle models to optimize development efforts.
• Coordinating with suppliers for manufacturing feasibility, quality issues, and timeline management.
• Supporting and reviewing testing activities (carried out by suppliers), analyzing results, and presenting conclusions to managers.
• Ensuring proper documentation and reporting in line with the engineering and project management standards.
• Collaborating with the HeadQuarter and internal stakeholders throughout the development cycle.
• Contributing to problem-solving and quality improvement based on market feedback and test results.

Your profile:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a mechanical development or project engineering role, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Solid understanding of mechanical components (shapes, materials, environmental constraints).
• Proficiency in CATIA (3D consultation and modification).
• Knowledge of wheel systems and chassis integration is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with simulation tools like Abaqus is a plus (not mandatory).
• Strong project management mindset: able to synthesize information, track deliverables, and report clearly.
• Comfortable working in a multi-project, high-volume environment with frequent cross-functional interactions.
• Fluent in technical English; experience communicating with international teams.
