Why Ocado?

Here at Ocado Logistics it's our mission to provide an outstanding customer experience for our partners, developing groundbreaking technology, opening multiple sites at an accelerating rate and engaging in exciting new business partnerships around the world - changing the way the world shops, for good.

We are the beating heart of our UK business and comprise a network of cutting edge warehouses and offices across the country that ensure that we optimise the experience and use our proprietary technology across the supply chain to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. At the same time delivering bags of possibilities for our employees and a career that will ensure no two days are ever the same.

About the role:

As Ocado Logistics embarks on a journey of significant growth and evolution to support its retailers' expansion plans, we are seeking a strategic Change Manager to ensure that we maximise the benefits of organisational change.

Reporting directly into the Head of Programme Management within our Logistics Programme Management team, you will play a vital role in our future growth and transformation. This is a highly collaborative role where you will work dynamically across our project delivery portfolio to assure a comprehensive understanding of what change is live, planned, in execution, and landed. Your core focus will be to minimise the negative effects of transition, maximise the benefits of change, and ensure long-term operational acceptance, adoption, and sustainability across our logistics network.

You will be:

  • Management of a change centre of excellence to support a growing project portfolio. Assessing change maturity and developing a tailored Ocado Logistics Programme
  • Developing comprehensive change management plans for projects and strategic initiatives alongside dedicated project teams.
  • Managing the complex impact of dependencies, interdependencies, and BAU activity, while constructively challenging portfolio and business leads on approach, timing, and impact.
  • Bringing change to life for individuals by linking each role to relevant details, aligning business messaging, and clarifying new structures, technology, roles, and processes to ensure sustainable adoption.
  • Leading robust change impact assessments, change load assessments, operational readiness assessments, and sustainability assessments.
  • Evaluating the impact of planned organisational change, identifying structural risks, creating risk mitigation tactics, and managing anticipated resistance.
  • Leading change management workstreams with a structured methodology, defining clear success metrics, and tracking/reporting performance to management and project teams.
  • Supporting the development of relevant communications and providing expert change coaching and training to employees at all levels of the business.

About you:

  • Extensive track record managing, developing, and delivering structured change management frameworks across a broad set of business environments and varied project portfolios.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in matrix structures, promoting collaboration, trust, accountability, and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with the confidence to build alliances at all levels (internally, externally, and virtually) and negotiate win win solutions through conflict resolution.
  • Strong analytical and forward thinking capabilities. Comfortable using data to identify risks, facing into challenges, and questioning expert opinions to build mitigation strategies.
  • A proactive, self motivated, and results driven attitude. Highly organised with excellent time management to adapt to rapidly changing events while keeping track of project deliverables.
  • Ability to maintain team focus on top priorities, manage overlapping timelines, and utilise quality assurance principles to ensure deliverables exceed stakeholder expectations.
  • Naturally curious and committed to continuous learning, looking for opportunities to optimise project processes and deliver greater value.

Qualifications: APMG, Prosci, or an equivalent change management accreditation is highly desired.
