Job Description
Professional Indemnity Associate Solicitor
  • Salary up to £80,000 depending on experience
  • 25 days' holiday + option to buy/sell additional days
  • Hybrid working arrangements

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established national law firm as part of its specialist Professional Indemnity team in Manchester. The team is recognised for acting on behalf of insurer clients in a wide range of complex claims against professionals, including high value and multi party disputes across multiple sectors.

You'll manage your own caseload while also supporting Partners on technically challenging matters, offering strong exposure to premium quality litigation and clear progression opportunities.

The Role:
  • Manage Professional Indemnity matters from instruction through to resolution
  • Support Partners on high value, complex, multi party litigation
  • Develop pre action strategies and case plans
  • Manage disclosure, draft pleadings and prepare for mediation and trial
  • Review evidence and prepare detailed client reports
  • Instruct Counsel and expert witnesses
  • Attend conferences, hearings, mediations and disciplinary proceedings
  • Build strong relationships with insurers, businesses and individual clients
  • Strong opportunity for an ambitious solicitor looking to specialise further within a respected national practice
About You:
  • Solicitor or Legal Executive with 4+ years' PQE
  • Experience in Professional Indemnity litigation
  • Strong drafting, litigation and analytical skills
  • Able to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and stakeholders
  • Organised with strong time management ability
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach
