Working Pattern: Fixed 3 shift pattern working 12 hours shifts averaging 48 hours per week with mix of days and nights

covering Sunday 6PM to Saturday 6PM

About the Role

Are you looking for a hands-on manufacturing role where you'll develop technical skills, work with modern computer-controlled equipment, and become part of a supportive team?

We're looking for someone who is reliable, motivated, and eager to learn. Previous feed mill experience isn't essential; we're looking for the right attitude. Full training will be provided.

Based at our modern feed manufacturing facility in Fridaythorpe, you'll learn every stage of the production process, from receiving raw materials through to producing and loading finished product. Much of the role is carried out from our computerised control room, where you'll monitor and control automated production systems while ensuring quality, efficiency and safety standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating our computerised production control system
  • Monitoring and controlling automated manufacturing equipment
  • Producing feed safely and efficiently to the daily production schedule
  • Preparing ingredients and additives
  • Monitoring product quality and production performance
  • Completing production and traceability documentation
  • Setting up and monitoring pellet presses
  • Supporting goods intake and finished product loading when required
  • Maintaining high housekeeping and food safety standards
  • Working across different areas of the mill as part of a flexible team
About You
  • Enjoys learning new skills and technology
  • Is comfortable using computers and automated equipment
  • Can stay focused and make decisions in a fast-paced production environment
  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Is reliable, flexible and willing to work across different departments
  • Has manufacturing experience (preferred but not essential)

Full training will be provided, so we welcome applicants from manufacturing, production, engineering, warehouse, agricultural or process industries who are looking to develop new technical skills.

Due to the rural location, your own transport is necessary.
