Production Operative
Location: Warrington
Pay Rate: £13.62 - £14.90 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Shifts: Days or Afternoons
We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing environment in Warrington.
Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will help build and assemble timber frames and components used in the construction of new homes. You will be working as part of a production team, using a range of hand tools, machinery and equipment to produce work to a high-quality standard.
Key Duties:
- Building and assembling timber frames and components
- Using hand tools, tape measures and nail guns
- Measuring materials accurately
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Using computers and production systems
- Operating and programming machinery following training
- Carrying out quality checks on completed work
- Ensuring finished products meet required quality standards
- Working towards daily production targets
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Keeping your working area clean and organised
Essential Skills:
- Experience using hand tools
- Confident using a tape measure accurately
- Experience using a nail gun
- Good attention to detail
- Basic computer literacy
- A good working attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working within a target-driven production environment
- Reliable with a strong focus on producing quality work
Desirable:
- Experience reading technical or production drawings
- Previous production, manufacturing, construction or assembly experience
- Experience operating or programming machinery
Full training will be provided on the specific machinery and production processes, so we are looking for people with the right attitude, willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
Shift Times
Day Shift:
Monday to Friday: 5:45am - 1:45pm
Afternoon Shift:
Monday to Wednesday: 2:00pm - 12:15am
Thursday: 2:00pm - 11:45pm
Friday: Day off
