Production Operative

The Best Connection are currently recruiting hardworking and reliable Production Operatives to join a busy and fast-paced processing operation on a seasonal contract. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for temporary work, good earning potential, and the chance to be part of a supportive team environment.

This role will be starting mid September for 2-3 weeks. We have day and night shifts available.

Working as part of an essential production team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of operations during the busy harvest and processing season.

We have two sites looking for workers - Petworth or Pulborough. Applicants must have access to their own transport due to the location of the sites.

Key Responsibilities

Picking clean crates from the crate washing area and safely stacking them in designated storage locations ready for re-use.

Assisting machine operators with the weighing and movement of fruit pallets throughout the production process.

Working on the press-loading production line, removing leaves, debris, and other unwanted materials from incoming picking crates to maintain product quality standards.

Washing and cleaning pallets using either industrial pallet-washing equipment or pressure hoses.

Carrying out general cleaning duties, including hosing down and maintaining the receival area to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

Supporting other departments as required to help maintain production targets and operational efficiency.

Adhering to all health and safety procedures at all times.

Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Own transport or a reliable means of getting to and from work due to shift start and finish times.

We offer a variety of shifts and pay rates across a

7-day operational schedule, providing flexibility and opportunities for additional earnings.

Day Shift

10am to 8.30pm - £15.50 per hour

Night Shift

8.30pm to 6am - £17.00 per hour

Additional overtime opportunities may be available depending on operational requirements.
