United Utilities delivers essential water and wastewater services across the North West and is looking for dedicated and proactive individuals to join our Property Searches team as a Production Assistant.
About the role:
As a Production Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting customers involved in residential and commercial property transactions. You'll provide drainage and water search reports, supply underground asset plans, and act as a key point of contact for customers seeking information about United Utilities' assets and services.
You'll work with a range of specialist systems and information sources to ensure accurate and timely responses, helping solicitors, conveyancers, property professionals, and customers access the information they need.
What you will be doing
- Act as the first point of contact for customers purchasing drainage and water searches or requesting access to underground asset records via telephone, email, and web applications
- Produce and issue residential and commercial drainage and water search reports
- Provide plans showing United Utilities' underground assets and infrastructure
- Interpret maps, plans, and technical information accurately to support customer requests
- Manage and prioritise your workload to meet service standards and customer expectations
- Respond to customer enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer service
- Use a variety of business systems to investigate and resolve customer queries

Experience and Knowledge
- Knowledge of residential and commercial conveyancing processes
- Understanding of statutory legislation relating to the water and wastewater industry
- Knowledge of legislation relating to sewers and drainage infrastructure
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work with complex information and customer queries
- Experience working in an administrative, customer service, property, utilities, or data processing environment would be beneficial
What You Need to Know
- Location: Lingley Mere Business Park, Lingley Green Avenue, Great Sankey, Cheshire, WA5 3LP
- Hourly Rate: £14.11
- Assignment Type: Temporary via Reed
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5
- Training: Full training will be provided.
- Contract length- 3-month temporary assignment through Reed Talent Solutions, potential for extension
