Product Owner

Product Owner - Software House - Birmingham (Hybrid/Flexible - 1 day a week in the office)

Salary to 50k plus excellent benefits including; Life Assurance, Bonus, Private Medical Cover, generous pension.

This innovative Software House is looking to add a Product Owner to join their fast-paced, collaborative software team in Birmingham, West Midlands. As a key link between stakeholders and developers, the Product Owner will drive product success by shaping features, refining user stories, and delivering real value to users.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Translate product vision into actionable user stories and tickets.
2. Balance commercial goals with technical feasibility and user needs.
3. Collaborate closely with UX/UI, developers, QA, and delivery leads.
4. Attend customer meetings, gather feedback, and influence the roadmap.
5. Create technical documentation and support UAT and release testing.
6. Ensure everything aligns with our product roadmap and strategic goals.

Core Experience for this Product Role:

1. Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Specialist.
2. Confidence mocking up interfaces and mapping user journeys.
3. Strong grasp of UI/UX best practices and user-centric design.
4. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret raw data into insights.
5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
6. Familiarity with end-to-end software testing from a user perspective.
7. Ability to create clear, concise, and actionable tickets.
