Job Description Purpose of the role: To manage and develop existing and new products and/or services; ownership of related customer and colleague journeys; develop the product strategy; drive change through execution teams; make key decisions in the product lifecycle; own outcomes for customers, colleagues and the bank; achieve this through appropriate service level agreements, regulatory compliance, risk management and controls.
Responsibilities- Development of customer level strategies and solutions tailored to customers' needs.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert in the applicable Product/Proposition team and guide stakeholders at all levels on the application of existing and new products/propositions and related journeys.
- Define priorities for delivering the outcomes needed to deliver the strategy and lead execution of those priorities; develop product propositions and/or service strategy.
- Develop different commercial and business models with an understanding of the financial drivers of the P&L for the relevant segment/proposition/journey.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, legal compliance, and risks for development and launch of new products.
- Monitor market trends and gather feedback from internal employees and target customers through prototypes, user testing sessions, and beta programs to identify areas for improvement before launch.
- Manage comprehensive launch plans and technical deployments for products, including rollout timelines, marketing strategies, training initiatives and communication channels.
- Monitor key metrics such as adoption rates, usage patterns, customer satisfaction (including complaints), and revenue generation to assess performance against goals.
- Assistant Vice President expectations: advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate with other functions/business divisions. Lead a team performing complex tasks and coach employees to achieve objectives.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors (for leaders) or lead collaborative assignments for individual contributors; identify the need for cross-functional collaboration and new directions for assignments.
- Consult on complex issues; provide advice to People Leaders to resolve escalated issues; identify risk mitigation and develop policies/procedures in support of control and governance.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls related to the work; coordinate with other areas to achieve organizational objectives; engage in complex data analysis from multiple sources to solve problems creatively.
- Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Translate business needs into product requirements, leveraging AI fundamentals, data analytics, and market insights. Coordinate delivery with stakeholders using tools like Jira; build relationships and ensure clear communication. Contribute to continuous improvement and the broader AI product agenda.
Qualifications and Skills- Proven experience in product ownership and end-to-end product management from concept through implementation.
- Strong planning, organisational and project management skills, including experience using Jira to manage backlogs and roadmaps.
- Experience in sprint planning and agile delivery with effective prioritisation and execution.
- Confident stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to articulate plans, priorities and progress to diverse audiences.
- Desirable: Understanding or exposure to coding, machine learning, or AI concepts; capable of collaborating with technical teams.
- Awareness of commercial considerations and how product decisions contribute to business value and outcomes.
The role can be based in London, Glasgow or Northampton.
