Job Title: Product Manager - Compliance

Location: Hybrid / HQ / Remote
Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities Role PurposeThe Product Manager - Compliance will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Compliance Platform at BoyleSports.
You will take end-to-end ownership of the Compliance product, covering both product management and delivery responsibilities, including roadmap definition, backlog management, and execution through to release.
You will develop a strong understanding of the BoyleSports customer and regulatory landscape, working cross-functionally to ensure customers have a safe, compliant, and seamless experience.
Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Discovery- Define and own product requirements to support delivery of the Compliance product roadmap
- Work with stakeholders and Product Leadership to define and evolve the roadmap in line with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and commercial goals
- Use product discovery techniques to identify customer and business problems, translating them into solutions that improve customer experience and meet compliance obligations
- Champion customer needs while balancing regulatory and business requirements
- Make informed product decisions, balancing risk, compliance, customer experience, and commercial impact
- Own and manage the Compliance product backlog, ensuring work is prioritised, well-defined, and ready for development
- Translate complex regulatory and legal requirements (e.g. GRAI, UKGC, GDPR, AML) into clear product requirements, epics, features, and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria and work closely with Compliance, legal and domain experts
- Play back proposed solutions and requirements to stakeholders to validate understanding, ensuring alignment between regulatory expectations, business objectives, and technical delivery
- Balance regulatory requirements with customer experience, ensuring solutions are compliant while remaining as seamless and user-friendly as possible
- Challenge requirements where appropriate, proposing alternative solutions that meet compliance needs while improving customer and business outcomes
- Act as the primary product contact between Engineering, Compliance, and Legal teams, facilitating requirement clarification and managing delivery queries throughout development and testing
- Work closely with Engineering and QA teams on a day-to-day basis to support delivery
- Facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions, and own acceptance of completed work
- Perform user acceptance testing (UAT), providing sign-off on behalf of Product and coordinating stakeholder validation where required
- Support release planning, including dependency management and coordination across teams
- Identify and manage delivery risks, escalating where appropriate
- Ensure delivery of compliance-related features within required regulatory timelines
- Use data and analytics to inform prioritisation, monitor product performance, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure an appropriate balance between regulatory compliance and commercial performance
- Work with BI teams to track performance and ensure delivery of measurable outcomes aligned to business and compliance KPIs
- Support Product Leadership with business cases, including defining success metrics and evaluating product impact
- Contribute to governance and best practices across the Product function
- Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Fraud teams as primary stakeholders, while coordinating with wider business functions including Marketing, Brand, Sportsbook, Gaming, and Customer Operations.
- Act as the key Product representative for the Compliance domain, ensuring alignment across business and technical teams
- Communicate product updates, priorities, and delivery progress clearly to stakeholders
- Ensure all product features align with regulatory and Safer Gambling requirements, including self-exclusion, spend limits, affordability checks, and player protection measures
- Own and enhance KYC/AML onboarding and verification flows, ensuring compliance with Irish, UK, and other applicable regulatory frameworks
- Monitor regulatory developments across key jurisdictions and assess product impact, working with Compliance and Legal teams to prioritise required changes
- Monitor competitor analysis and industry trends in this space
- A sports enthusiast with preference of work experience in the Betting and Gaming industry, and an excellent understanding of its customers
- Experience of defining and delivering, customer (internal and external) facing Products
- Strong understanding of product discovery techniques and delivery frameworks
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on delivery role, managing both strategy and execution
- Highly data-driven, with the ability to use insights to inform decisions
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working within Agile development environments
