Your new role

As Product Integrity Team Leader, you will drive the product integrity roadmap for a sophisticated unmanned platform, ensuring reliability, safety and certification alignment. You will manage the backlog for safety, compliance, PLM and documentation, converting regulatory requirements into actionable engineering work. Working closely with airworthiness colleagues and multidisciplinary teams, you will define safety criteria, support certification milestones and lead improvements across product lifecycle processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and prioritise the product integrity backlog across safety, compliance, PLM and documentation.
  • Define safety requirements and acceptance criteria across the entire lifecycle of unmanned platforms.
  • Collaborate with airworthiness teams to translate certification needs into Agile delivery actions.
  • Maintain and evolve safety management systems, safety assessments, and associated processes.
  • Interface with aviation authorities and military certification bodies at national and European level.
  • Work closely with systems architects, systems engineers, reliability specialists, PLM experts, continuous improvement, compliance and technical writing teams.
  • Convert regulatory obligations into clear engineering work items.
  • Support ongoing improvement initiatives across the product organisation.
  • Track and report safety performance, certification progress and risk exposure to leadership.


What you'll need to succeed

  • 5+ years' experience in aerospace/aviation safety engineering or airworthiness, ideally in unmanned systems.
  • Background as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Programme Lead in a regulated aerospace environment.
  • Knowledge of military airworthiness frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of safety assessment methodologies.
  • Experience working with PLM systems and configuration management practices.
  • Previous involvement in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Fluency in English; Portuguese is beneficial.

  • Expertise in European UAS regulations (EASA), including specific and certified categories.
  • Experience within a certified UAS manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of civil or defence related UAS programmes.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems.
