Are you a driven and experienced procurement professional with a strong background in IT purchasing? We are working with a leading technology-driven trading business to find an IT Procurement Specialist for their Amsterdam office. In this role, you will help shape the future of procurement within a fast-paced, global environment, managing the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle while building strategic partnerships across the business. You'll be instrumental in refining procurement strategy, optimizing vendor performance, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process, including purchase requests, vendor onboarding, PO generation, contract uploads, and invoice approvals.
- Lead sourcing activities and vendor negotiations, managing stakeholder expectations while ensuring cost-effectiveness and value.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to foster communication and strategic alignment.
- Ensure procurement compliance with internal policies, legal frameworks, and ethical standards-adding business value without compromising on governance.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements.
- Lead and deliver individual projects aligned with procurement strategy, occasionally managing sub-teams or cross-functional collaboration.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain,
- Degree-qualified in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of IT procurement, including SaaS and IT services contracts.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience managing procurement tools and ERP systems; familiarity with tools like Coupa or SAP is a plus.
- Highly organized with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills and knowledge of EU compliance frameworks (DORA, ESG, EBA, AFM) are strong advantages.
