Location: Cheltenham, UK

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Operations Lead. This role will drive the successful delivery of a new Target Operating Model within the Procurement function, acting as a key liaison between global business units to ensure alignment, integration and adoption of change. The role combines commercial management and change leadership, supporting the Head of Technology Procurement and Directors with commercial activities such as contract negotiations, cost reduction strategies, supplier performance measurement and achieving sustainability goals.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on Change Programme Management
  • Lead and manage the Procurement change programme, supporting the design, development and rollout of the new Target Operating Model
  • Act as a bridge between Group IT Procurement and Procurement teams in the business units, ensuring consistent communication, alignment of business priorities and integration into the Procurement framework
  • Manage stakeholder engagement across multiple business units and functions to secure buy-in and adoption of new processes, standards and ways of working
  • Monitor and track change progress, identifying risks, issues and opportunities
Commercial Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Technology Procurement and Commercial Directors in driving cost reduction strategies, supplier performance management and delivery of sustainability objectives.
  • Contribute analysis, reporting and insights on commercial performance, cost savings and supplier relationship outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and embedding of best-in-class commercial and procurement practices
  • Partner with business units and suppliers to optimise commercial outcomes and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Your previous experience is likely to include .
  • Proven experience designing and delivering complex change programmes in a global business environment.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, supplier management and strong commercial acumen.
  • Knowledge of change management methodologies and ability to apply them in a procurement environment.
  • Experience of risk management, issue resolution and escalation in a change environment.
  • Experience of supporting sustainability or ESG related initiatives within a global business is desirable.

  • Have the ability to analyse financial and procurement data to drive insights and performance
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Have a Masters or MBA, this is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of sustainability/ESG principles
  • Be results driven with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes for the business.
  • Project management training or certification is desirable
