Job Description
Role Overview

Procurement Manager - Construction. Salary: £65,000-£80,000. Pension matched up to 9%. Bonus based on personal and company performance. Four days onsite, one day working from home. Based in Lancashire offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own procurement activities across the full project lifecycle, supporting successful delivery of infrastructure works through effective sourcing strategies, supply chain engagement, and commercial management.
  • Collaborate with project delivery and commercial teams to secure high quality goods, materials, and specialist subcontract services, ensuring procurement activities deliver value, efficiency, and programme certainty.
  • Act as a key link between operational teams and the wider supply chain function, contributing to supplier performance management, commercial negotiations, contract administration, and implementation of procurement strategies that align with project objectives and business requirements.
  • Lead end to end procurement of infrastructure work packages across projects of varying size and complexity, driving value generation, mitigating risk, and ensuring alignment with project procurement plans and contractual obligations.
  • Manage procurement programmes from market engagement and tender issue through evaluation, negotiation, and contract award, undertaking technical, commercial, delivery, and contractual assessments while ensuring compliance with NEC and other industry standard contracts.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across internal teams, clients, consultants, and supply chain partners, facilitating procurement discussions and stakeholder engagement to support successful project outcomes and operational excellence.
Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Strong experience within a construction, utilities or civil engineering environment.
  • Experience managing and negotiating NEC forms of contract.
  • Prior experience of running procurement packages on numerous major projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
