Maximising value and efficiency, we oversee procurement, estimating, and quantity surveying to keep Nottinghamshire's highways projects on track.

What you'll do:- Plan and run procurements, ensuring outcomes meet scope, time and budget, and secure the Most Advantageous Tender in line with the Act's objectives (value for money, public benefit, transparency, integrity, fair treatment/non-discrimination).
- Support stakeholders to achieve cost reduction targets, increased efficiencies, supplier rationalisation and improved delivery performance.
- Draft and publish all required lifecycle notices (pipeline/planning, tender, transparency, award, contract details, performance and termination/contract change notices)
- Work with commercial colleagues to draft and finalise NEC contracts and manage risk effectively
- Maintain effective supply chain relationships to drive service continuity, safety and environmental performance
- Set up contract management plans, mobilise KPIs and performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Proactively identify potential procurement issues, risks and opportunities and develop relevant, in context solutions to mitigate the likelihood of occurrence.
- Extensive procurement experience, MCIPS
- Knowledge and experience using NEC contracts.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and the skills to run compliant, transparent procurements-publishing required notices, evaluating on Most Advantageous Tender, managing exclusions/conflicts, and reporting KPIs.
- Strong influencing, networking and team working skills, combined with a solid commercial acumen.
- Risk Management skills to be able to identify manage and mitigate the risks inherent in procurement contracts.
- Managing contracts, including monitoring of performance, resolution of performance problems and ongoing change management.
