Job Description- Carry out category and project-related procurement activities through strategic contract negotiations, implementation, and ongoing relationship management
- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on end-to-end procurement processes, enabling best practice procurement across all
- Identify opportunities for improvements and value-add in processes, procedures, and during procurement activities, including managing supplier relationships and negotiating commercial terms.
- Identify and mitigate procurement, supplier, and supply chain risks to the organisation.
- Maintain the Contract Register, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate, with timely notifications to the business to enable necessary procurement activities to be carried out.
- Ensure contracts have appropriate supplier performance controls enabled through effective category strategies and sourcing exercises
A successful Procurement Manager should have:
- MCIPS or Working towards MCIPS or demonstrable procurement expertise
- Strong written communication skills, able to write complex reports
- Experience of supplier negotiations and relationship management
- Strong ability to influence using multiple styles as appropriate
- Strong commercial acumen demonstrated in previous roles
- Experience in negotiating contracts
- A salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000 per annum.
