Job description

Our client, a leader in the procurement supply chain sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join their team. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse and impactful infrastructure and transportation programmes within the public sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing supplier relationships and ensuring effective procurement strategies are implemented
  • Collaborating with clients across the public and private sectors to deliver high-quality services and solutions
  • Providing advice on procurement and commercial strategies
  • Developing and delivering procurement activities for major programmes and complex projects
  • Engaging with suppliers and conducting Early Market Engagements
  • Conducting construction cost analyses and benchmarking reports
  • Preparing tender and enquiry packs, including prequalification, tender, negotiation of contracts, and procurement governance
  • Working with multiple stakeholders, including legal, finance, engineers, and programme teams, to develop and implement commercial policies and solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Degree qualified with MRICS, MCIPS, MCIOB, or working towards one of these qualifications
  • Significant experience in procurement within the public sector
  • Strong understanding of procurement delivery models and routes to market
  • Knowledge of collaborative forms of procurement development such as Alliances, Partnering, and Multi lotted Collaborative Frameworks
  • Experience within the requirements of Public Sector regulations including Public Contracts Regulations and Utility Regulations
  • Proficiency in developing and managing procurement activities for contracts and frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to draft, analyse, and present procurement documents effectively
