TEAM

The Procurement Team manages a significant portion of easyJet's external spend and revenue, totaling over £3 billion per year. This includes categories such as Customer, Operations (including Engineering and Maintenance), Fuel, Ground Handling, Commercial, Business, Corporate, Finance, People, and IT.

CATEGORY FOCUS

As a company with over £6 billion in annual revenue, our Finance and Procurement teams are vital to supporting our continued growth. The Procurement Team manages a substantial share of the company's external expenditures, focusing on services related to Ground Handling and Aircraft Appearance.

Your role involves creating a dynamic Procurement Category Plan by analyzing spend data, conducting market analysis, developing strategies, leading tender processes, and designing contract templates. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to provide procurement support and play a key role in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), aligning strategic partners with easyJet's vision.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize value for your category of spend.
  • Engage internal stakeholders to support and endorse strategies.
  • Build relationships with suppliers to negotiate charges and secure advantages.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities using a balanced scorecard approach.
  • Manage tender processes, negotiations, and contracting.
  • Drive continuous improvement and value engineering projects within the supply base.
  • Monitor financial performance and explain variances.
  • Work with Business Areas to define service specifications.
  • Support policies for supplier relationship management and develop supplier partnerships.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze market dynamics and create innovative category plans.
  • Excellent relationship management skills across all levels, including senior management.
  • Ability to understand complex specifications and contract scopes.
  • Financial analysis skills and contract review capabilities.
  • Determination and drive to achieve results.
  • Experience with end-to-end tender processes.
  • Experience in Ground Handling and airline procurement is advantageous but not mandatory.
