A new Procurement Consultant Renewable Energy role in Birmingham with a leading global consultancy organization in a specialist procurement division.
The Procurement Consultant Renewable Energy will work alongside a highly skilled team delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services.

The Procurement Consultant will report to an established Renewable Energy Procurement lead. You will help clients deliver major capital programmes and projects for green technologies, contributing to sustainable energy solutions for customers and communities.

Responsibilities and Duties- Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to public and private sector clients.
- Manage and collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement services for major projects or programmes.
- Support the development of procurement services.
- Assist in business development and marketing of the department.
- Contribute to achieving team and business targets.
- Support bid preparation, proposal documentation, and work-winning activities.
- Experience in technologies such as Hydro-Electric, Wind, Tidal, Waste-to-Energy, Hydrogen, Solar, Carbon Capture, Net Zero, Biofuels, Geothermal is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of embedding excellence into end-to-end procurement activities.
- Core skills in procurement, supply chain management, and contract management, including strategy, contract terms, negotiation, and supplier evaluation.
- Experience in procurement consulting from client, contractor, or professional services perspectives.
- Understanding of responsible sourcing areas like human rights, environment, health and safety, anti-bribery, and labor practices.
- Good knowledge of the UK and international energy sectors, technologies, and regulations is desirable.
- Experience in successful supplier engagement.
- A degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, or procurement is preferred.
- Either CIPS Level 4 qualification or willingness to work towards it.

Additional Benefits and Incentives- Salary up to £70,000
