Procurement Specialist Consultant Salary £38,000 - £42,000 Hybrid Northampton/Milton Keynes (Full-time and Part-time positions available) We're partnering with a leading not-for-profit organisation supporting the UK education sector to appoint multiple Procurement Consultants based in Northampton/Milton Keynes. This is your chance to join a registered charity that helps schools, colleges, and universities procure smarter ensuring resources are invested in learning and education. You'll work as a procurement consultant, directly supporting educational institutions across the UK, managing tenders, delivering procurement consultancy services, helping them buy compliantly and cost-effectively. - Deliver end-to-end procurement services, from strategic sourcing advice through to tender management and contract award
- Manage tender exercises including ITT preparation, bid evaluation, and supplier selection
- Provide consultancy services such as spend analysis, contract management, procurement strategy development, and compliance advice
- Support clients using compliant public sector procurement frameworks and help them navigate the Procurement Act 2023 and PCR
- Work across a variety of categories such as FM services, IT, catering and professional services
- Deliver training and guidance on procurement best practices to client stakeholders
- 1+ Years procurement experience with exposure to end-to-end procurement
- Experience or exposure to bids and managing tenders
- 1+ Years Public sector procurement experience required (education sector is a bonus)
- Knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and Public Contracts Regulations (or eager to learn)
- Client management or stakeholder engagement experience
- Category experience in FM, IT, catering, or professional services (ideal but not essential)
- CIPS not required - they'll support you in getting qualified
- Willingness to learn and genuine passion for supporting education
