For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are seeking a Procurement Assistant.
Background:
Roche has set itself the ambitious goal of supplying its Basel and Kaiseraugst sites with 100% CO2-neutral energy by 2030. This forward-looking project is being realized primarily through the strategic large-scale projects "Blue" and "Greenpart." To provide administrative and operational support to our dedicated Engineering Procurement (FNMB) team, we are looking for a highly organized Procurement Assistant who wants to actively contribute to our sustainability goals.

We are looking for a reliable and highly organized individual who is characterized by a conscientious, structured, and independent work ethic and acts as a dependable anchor in day-to-day operations. In addition to a quick grasp of concepts, enabling rapid familiarization with complex topics and dynamic processes, the ideal person possesses a strong team spirit. Actively contributing ideas and fostering a harmonious and productive work environment within the team are essential. The profile is rounded out by a high degree of empathy, excellent interpersonal skills, and confident, respectful communication with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders on an equal footing.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Processing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices in the ERP system
* Contract management: Responsible for the administrative handling of tenders and contract preparation
* Conducting non-complex tenders
* Processing warranties, acceptance protocols, and insurance documentation
* Supporting procurement activities for projects; handling reactive or business-related procurement requests within a specific region, country, or large site
* Conducting smaller procurement activities such as ad-hoc, call-off, and unplanned/planned or reactive business-related procurement activities to ensure maximum procurement impact
* Assisting with procurement requests in accordance with the specifications of the respective category and relevant policies, standards, specifications, and work instructions, including agreements and contracts with existing suppliers
* A Procurement Delivery Associate works with procurement and the company's stakeholders to understand requirements and implement the appropriate procurement process using suitable methods, tools, and bundling.
Must-haves:
* Successfully completed commercial training (eg, industrial clerk, office management clerk, wholesale and foreign trade clerk) or a comparable qualification (no Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degrees).
* Fluent German and English, both written and spoken (for effective communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers).
* Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Word, and Teams).
* Experience in operational purchasing/procurement, ideally supporting project-based business or working at large sites.
* Proficient administration of the procurement process: Demonstrable experience in creating and processing purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
* Experience with the administrative preparation of contracts, tender documents, warranties, acceptance protocols, and insurance documents.
* Experience in conducting (smaller/more complex) tenders as well as in ad-hoc and day-to-day operations (eg, call-off orders).
