AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment to ensure continuous access to cloud innovation.
Travel required both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a complex category within the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) domains.
- Achieve cost savings through bidding and negotiations, and drive collaboration to deliver long term value.
- Obtain market intelligence, analyse category data and metrics to drive procurement category strategies.
- Understand trends in customer needs and concerns across categories and regions to influence customer priorities.
- Lead supplier selection process across multiple sub categories, internal teams and regions, and develop longer term supplier selection strategies for management.
- Stay knowledgeable about supply markets, new innovations, geographical considerations, sustainability, diversity and in country value, and incorporate them into category strategies.
- Develop mechanisms and metrics to track supplier performance related to delivery, quality and cost.
- Create supplier scorecards to measure and track performance.
- Lead business reviews to discuss best practices, identify issues and improve supplier performance and strengthen business partnerships.
- Innovate within procurement by automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the procurement lifecycle.
- Provide support throughout the contracting process, as well as supplier relationship management and management of contracts post execution.
- 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience.
- 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing, including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python.
- Experience in global supply chain management and managing cross functional teams in a fast paced environment.
- 4+ years of program, project or product management experience, or leading a product implementation process.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies.
