About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement and Contract Manager to join an established, multi-site public sector organisation.

This is a key role within a small and collaborative procurement function, where you will support the delivery of strategic procurement initiatives and lead on a wide range of projects, particularly across Estates and Facilities Management, including capital works.

This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to attend the Sutton head office a minimum of three days per week, alongside occasional travel to sites across London and the South East, full driving license essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of procurement strategy, policies, and best practice
  • Lead end-to-end procurement activity, including formal tender processes (ITTs)
  • Manage procurement across Estates & Facilities, including capital works projects
  • Develop and maintain a Preferred Supplier List
  • Ensure effective contract management, monitoring performance against SLAs and KPIs
  • Deliver value for money, cost savings, and service improvements
  • Conduct benchmarking, spend analysis, and due diligence
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

About You

  • Proven experience in public sector procurement and contract management
  • Strong understanding of procurement regulations, including the Procurement Act 2023
  • Experience running complex tenders and managing supplier relationships
  • Strong analytical and financial skills (spend analysis, benchmarking)
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and e-tendering platforms (e.g. MyTender or similar)
  • Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • MCIPs (or working toward) is preferred
