Process Technologist

Our client is searching for a Process Technologist to strengthen the Process Application Technology (PAT) team.

Job description:

The PAT team is part of the Global Specialize Nutrition R&I team, which mission is to have smooth and optimized implementation of process solutions in close collaboration with factories to deliver superiority product characteristics for consumers.

Furthermore, The PAT team delivers on both inno/reno pipeline, 'fuel for growth' commitments and R&I exploration projects.

As Process manager:

• Working in and managing projects for the European portfolio for Process Technology on both liquid and powder products
• Working in and managing projects for the application of process technology mainly on liquid products
• Identify, develop and implement the best process technology to produce safe products in an economical way for Specialized Nutrition
• Ensure absolute safe products, benefits and substantiation in close cooperation with Quality & Food Safety and consider regulatory aspects
• Support the implementation of new products to various supply points world-wide
• Ensure owned portfolio deliver PAT activities (technical assessment, laboratory/pilot plant and factory trials) on time, on track and on cost (incl. process specs/documents and feasibility)
• Acting as an important link between R&I and Operations in implementing and securing our processes and participating in new factory projects
• Factory testing, implementation and technical support (best practices and troubleshooting) to factories
• Set-up, evaluate and maintain process specifications to enable the factories to run in an excellent way

Profile:

We are looking for a Process Technologist with:

• MSC (level) in Process Development/Technology. A background in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Bioprocessing, or similar working/thinking level obtained via experience
• Relevant experience in a factory technology job/environment or R&I process related environment
• Affinity with foods, preferably experience in working in the food industry
• Adequately mastering food- & process technology fundamentals and how to apply these in a practical way. The main unit operations in our scope are dissolving, deaeration, heat treatment, emulsification. Knowledge of spray drying, dry blending, fermentation is a plus
• Able to lead a diverse portfolio of small and medium size development & factory projects
• Aou are expected to have stakeholder management skills as the Process Application Team is a key partner to product developers, factories, global operations, and the quality department, amongst others.
• Team player with an autonomous working attitude
• Enthusiastic, pro-active, analytical, open-minded, curious and hands-on approach
• Professional working proficiency in English is required, other languages are beneficial
• Able and willing to travel up to 15%
