Key job responsibilities

A Process Specialist in the Category team is a high-visibility role working with multiple stakeholders and teams across the organization to derive insights from data and support daily business decisions. Key result areas include, but are not limited to:

  1. Owning the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc., to support business decisions.
  2. Ensuring data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools, and understanding Amazon's data resources to know how, when, and which to use.
  3. Collaborating with category, customer service, marketing, and finance teams to understand business requirements and provide analyses.
  4. Understanding Amazon business trends and recommending strategies to stakeholders to foster growth.
  5. Developing and executing analyses to identify opportunities and presenting business recommendations to shape the company's direction.
  6. Actively understanding Amazon's core values and translating them into daily practices.
A day in the life

Generating data, building reports, defining processes and metrics for programs, adopting product solutions, enabling category managers at scale, managing monetization recovery SLAs, and benchmarking experience versus SICs.

The team focuses on enhancing the customer experience by aiding informed purchase decisions and providing seamless post-purchase support for high-consideration technical products. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics or automation
  • 2+ years of business analysis involving large, complex data sets
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with data mining tools like SQL, SAS, SPSS, or similar
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working directly with business teams to utilize metrics and analyses for improvement opportunities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or advertising
