Job Description

Overview

This role works with individuals on probation before and after sentence, supporting assessment, sentence implementation and offender management. You will provide case management support, produce reports and work closely with courts and agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage risks for offenders on probation.
  • Support offenders with practical advice on housing, employment and personal development.
  • Produce accurate reports and complete documentation on tight deadlines.
  • Provide case management support and liaise with courts, agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain professional judgement using service procedures and practice directions.
Qualifications
  • Personal qualities: empathy, patience, resilience, organisational skills.
  • Good writing skills to produce clear and accurate reports.
  • Experience working with people who have social or personal difficulties (preferred).
  • No degree requirement, but personal qualities are a priority.
Pay and Progression

Starting salary of £26,475, with annual pay progression through the Competency Based Framework (CBF) and increases in line with Civil Service Pay guidance.
