Probation Officer - HMYOI Onley LOCATION: HMYOI Onley HOURS: 37 hours per week PAY RATE: £30.36 ltd p/h

Are you a dedicated Probation Officer looking for a rewarding contract opportunity within a Young Offender Institution? We are currently seeking a qualified Probation Officer to provide 36 weeks of maternity cover at HMYOI Onley, delivering in-person support of the OMiC Model.

We are seeking a qualified Probation Officer to join HMYOI Onley on a 36-week maternity cover contract. This role is focused on providing in-person support of the Offender Management in Custody (OMiC) Model, working closely with prison staff to support young offenders through their sentence.

Depending on the role, work may include:

• Providing in-person support of the OMiC Model within the prison setting
• Managing and supporting offenders throughout their time at HMYOI Onley
• Assessing offenders' risks and needs, developing tailored rehabilitation plans
• Monitoring compliance with probation conditions and court orders
• Collaborating with prison staff, social services, and other agencies
• Documenting case progress and preparing reports as required

The job holder is expected to accept reasonable alterations and additional tasks of a similar level that may be necessary

• Qualified Probation Officer (PO) with relevant certification
• Proven experience in offender management or probation work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the prison environment
