We are seeking an experienced and personable Private Client Solicitor with 4+ years PQE to join the established Wills & Probate team of a local law firm. This role offers the opportunity to handle a varied caseload and contribute to the growth of our highly reputable firm, which has strong ties to the local community and a steady flow of quality work.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Managing a broad caseload including Wills (simple and complex), Probate and estate administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
• Drafting a full range of private client documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Providing empathetic, attentive, and pragmatic advice to clients.
• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
• Supporting business development activities, including networking, seminars, and community partnerships.
• Contributing to the growth of the department through cross-referrals and relationship management with referrers.
• Ensuring all work complies with SRA regulations, AML checks, and internal risk management protocols.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years PQE within a reputable Private Client department.
• Strong experience in Wills, Probate and LPAs.
• STEP qualification or working towards STEP (highly desirable).
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• High level of empathy and professionalism when working with clients.
• Strong communication and drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
