About the Role

As a Court of Protection Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload involving deputyship applications, mental capacity issues, and safeguarding vulnerable clients. You will provide expert advice and representation in Court of Protection proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of Court of Protection work including deputyship applications and statutory wills
• Advise clients on mental capacity law and best interests decisions
• Draft legal documents and prepare applications for the Court of Protection
• Liaise with clients, families, and professional deputies
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and firm standards
• Deliver exceptional client care and build strong relationships

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor (NQ considered) with experience or interest in Court of Protection work
• Strong knowledge of mental capacity law and private client matters
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
• Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office
