Private Client Solicitor / Associate, Wolverhampton, Hybrid Working, Leading Regional Firm
Are you an experienced Private Client Solicitor looking for a senior role offering high-quality work, genuine responsibility and the opportunity to play a part in developing both a team and department?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded Private Client team within a leading regional law firm, handling a broad range of work rather than being restricted to one particular area of Private Client.
The Firm
A large and established regional law firm with a substantial presence throughout the West Midlands and surrounding areas.
The firm combines the quality of work, resources and progression opportunities of a sizeable practice with a strong regional client base and an established reputation within Private Client.
You'll be joining a well-regarded and growing department with experienced lawyers around you and clear opportunities to continue developing at a senior level.
The Role
Based in Wolverhampton with hybrid working available, you will manage a broad and varied Private Client caseload while also taking on wider responsibilities within the team.
Your work will include:
- Wills, including more complex drafting and advice
- Probate and the administration of both taxable and non-taxable estates
- Trust creation, administration and termination
- Powers of Attorney
- Inheritance Tax planning and Deeds of Variation
- Advising clients on wider estate planning matters
Alongside your own caseload, you'll supervise and mentor junior colleagues, provide technical guidance where required and help develop relationships with clients and professional referrers.
You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to networking and business development as the department continues to grow.
You
You will be a qualified Private Client Solicitor with around 5 years' PQE or above and strong technical experience across a broad range of Private Client matters.
You should be comfortable independently managing complex matters and advising clients on wills, probate, trusts, estate planning and tax-related issues.
Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues is important, alongside the confidence to act as a senior member of the team.
You don't need to be someone who wants to spend every evening networking, but you should have a commercial mindset and be comfortable developing relationships with clients and professional contacts.
If you're an experienced Private Client Solicitor who enjoys the technical work but also wants greater responsibility, influence and progression, this could be a very good next step.
Benefits
- Hybrid and flexible working
- Annual profit share
- 28 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
- Your birthday off
- Competitive salary reviewed annually
Would you like to join a sizeable Private Client department where you can continue handling quality work while progressing into a genuinely senior position?
