Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Legal Director to join a highly regarded team in Leeds. You will advise high and ultra high net worth individuals, business owners and families on a range of private client matters, while playing a key role in team development, strategic projects and business growth.

Description

The Private Client Legal Director will be:

Advising high and ultra high net worth individuals, business owners and families

Managing a broad and sophisticated caseload across private client matters

Advising on Wills, succession planning and inheritance tax planning

Handling trusts and the administration of high value and complex estates

Advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney and wider lifetime planning

Managing matters involving cross border and international considerations

Developing and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with clients and their wider professional advisers

Supervising junior members of the private client team

  • Working on business development, networking and client relationship initiatives

Profile

The Private Client Legal Director should be:

A solicitor with around 8 years PQE or more

An experienced private client lawyer with strong technical expertise

Experienced across Wills, trusts, succession planning and estate administration

Experienced in inheritance tax planning and wider wealth planning matters

Comfortable advising high and ultra high net worth individuals and business owners

Experienced handling high value and complex estates

Dealing with cross border private client matters

Commercially minded with excellent client relationship skills

Experienced in supervising and developing junior lawyers

Able to contribute confidently to strategic business development and wider firm initiatives

  • Ideally STEP qualified or able to demonstrate equivalent private client expertise

Job Offer

  • A salary of £90,000 to £100,000
