The Council's Legal Services is looking to appoint a full time Principal Solicitor or Lawyer within the specific field of regulatory and employment litigation. As a highly experienced solicitor or lawyer in this domain, you will lead and advise on high risk, high value and complex legal matters and provide professional expert guidance and support to other lawyers within regulatory and employment related litigation.
You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX lawyer with litigation practising rights and substantial proven experience in advocating and advising on the law relating to regulatory and employment law and related litigation, dealing with complex legal matters and preferably with experience in dealing with local authority legal work.
The ideal candidate is a strong team player with a pro active and can do approach, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels across the council, including with elected members, senior leadership team and other stakeholders.
