Are you a River Engineer Are you ready to take up a vital role in some of the UK's most exciting and innovative and take a leading role in shaping the future We are looking for an energetic and experienced Principal River Engineer to join our team within the Design & Advanced Technology (D&AT) Practice of play a vital role in delivering transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on landmark engineering projects both domestically and internationally. We offer hybrid working which involves 3 days per week being office/site based. This position is based in our Bristol, Exeter or Swansea offices.The role will offer achallengingand rewarding opportunity to apply knowledge, experience, and problem-solving skills whilstprovidinggood opportunities for career development.As a PrincipalRiverEngineer in the D&AT practice, the successful candidate would have the following responsibilities: - Responsiblefor producingandreviewing technicaldeliverables such asdesign reports, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work with defined scope.- Provide technical input into project design deliverablesforriver engineering and flooddefenceaspects of complex multi-disciplinary projects and work with the project management team to successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones andprogrammes. A degree inCivilEngineering or equivalent. Charteredor IncorporatedCivilEngineer. Takesbroadperspective toidentifyinnovative solutions to design problems. Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance. Experience intheWatermarket isessentialand experience in wider markets such asAviation,Defence, Highways or Energyis desirable. Demonstratesstrong communicationskills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively withindiverse multi-disciplinaryteams. A proactive, highly motivated mindset with a collaborative approach to drive teamwork andsharedsuccess across projects. Proficiency in delivering both traditional engineering and environmentally focused solutions using nature-based strategies.Proven experience incoordinating or managingaengineering designdelivery teamfor adesignconsultancyincludingwithin a multi-disciplinary environment.Requiresstrongknowledge and practical experience indesignsuch as flood walls and embankments, weirs, hydraulic structures, culverts, scour protection, access and accessibility and constructionlogistics.Proficiencyin deliveringboth traditional engineering and environmentally focused solutions using nature-based strategies.- Practical knowledge of current design codes and standards as well as industry best practices.Meet some but not all of We'd still love to hear from you!
