Job Description
Overview

Osborne Richardson are working with a Local Authority in North Wales which requires an interim Principal Planner to join them for a maternity cover post which will last for 6 - 9 months.

This role is within their Development Management teams and this post holder will be dealing with major and complex planning applications as well as line managing a team of Planning Officers.

Responsibilities
  • Processing complex and varied planning applications, including the preparation of case officer/committee reports
  • Providing professional pre-application advice to the public, members and developers via their pre-application advice service and daily duty officer phone line
  • Presenting applications at Planning Committee meetings
Qualifications
  • A Degree or equivalent in Town and Planning or a related discipline
  • Be a member of the RTPI
  • Extensive working knowledge and experience of development management processes, ideally within a Local Authority setting
Contract and Benefits

The rate offered will depend on your experience but is expected to be up to £45/hr Umbrella. This role is inside IR35.

Our client offers hybrid working with office attendance generally once a week, and then once a month you will need to attend the site visits (Tuesday) and Planning Committee (Wednesday).
