Principal Engineer, Travel Platform & Search Architect

On the Beach is hiring a Principal Engineer to transform how millions discover, book, and experience travel across our platforms. You will architect scalable patterns, influence our technology stack, and drive innovation beyond individual teams.

You'll shape the technical direction, lead search system design (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch), and mentor engineers while partnering with Product, Data, and Platform teams to deliver high-impact changes. Hybrid work with Manchester as a base.
