My client is an award-winning, highly innovative M&E Engineering Consultancy seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to undertake design work and technical project coordination in their Dublin office.

The successful candidate will lead a busy team providing design and technical services on industry-leading Data Centre developments.

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Lead the electrical services design for various Data Centre projects from concept to completion.
  • Specification and design of electrical building services systems.
  • Conduct continuous design and installation quality checks and control.
  • Provide detailed tender packages, reports, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Develop project scope with the design team and client.
  • Uphold electrical design standards within the organization.
  • Mentor engineering staff.
  • Deep understanding of CIBSE, BS, IS, and EN standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Knowledge of other engineering analysis software is an advantage.
Education & Experience:
  • Minimum degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • At least 9+ years of electrical building services consultancy design experience, preferably with data centers, industrial, or high-tech developments.
  • Chartered status is a plus.
  • Experience with Revit, electrical layouts, and systems.
  • Familiarity with structural, architectural, and electrical models.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, and EN standards.
