Job Description

Principal Commissioning Engineer - Electrical ()

What you'll be doing:

  • Instruct & mentor less experienced members of the team within your knowledge & competency
  • Work with a group of Electrical Engineers in the Integrated Systems test Section
  • Research, review & provide feedback on documentation to the required standard
  • Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure & legislation
  • Deputise for the relevant Commissioning Project Leader as and when required, including supervision of personnel
  • Attend mandatory training requirements and engage in self development
  • Represent the Company on Contractor Sea Trials and other outworking requirements

Your skills and experiences:

  • Knowledge of commissioning or maintenance within a similar industrial environment
  • Degree/HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Detailed knowledge of safety controls & procedures in a high risk environment
  • Knowledge and experience of PLC systems and electrical testing

The Test & Commissioning Team

As a Principal Commissioning Engineer - Electrical you will be responsible for commissioning all Integrated Systems test Section systems across Dreadnought submarines and offshore rigs. You will carry out daily commissioning activities and report to the commissioning project leader. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple platforms, providing exposure to different systems and technologies, and includes extensive training to develop your career. (Relocation support is available for eligible candidates).
