Primary Supply Teacher

The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a casual Supply Teacher to work across our schools in Tameside, Glossop and Stockport.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate in line with "Keeping Children Safe in Education" and the Teacher Standards.
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the UK curriculum, for planned and unplanned teacher absences.
• Teach across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions for pupils.
• Utilise a range of teaching resources and technologies to enhance learning.
• Follow safeguarding policies to ensure pupil safety and wellbeing.
• Comply with Trust policies.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
• Availability at short notice, as assignments may range from emergency cover to planned absences for training, PPA, or long-term absence.
• Enhanced DBS registration on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Strong understanding of the UK curriculum (EYFS, KS1, KS2) and previous experience in primary or secondary school settings.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching environments and schools.
• A passion for education and a commitment to pupil success.
• Flexibility and reliability to meet varying supply needs.
• Willingness to engage with Trust Induction Day, Safeguarding Training, and any other statutory training required for the role.
