Premises Manager - Primary School - Southwark

Start Date: September 1st Hours: 6:00am-10:00am and 2:00pm-5:00pm Pay: £16-£20 per hour Contract: Long termSanza Teaching Agency are currently recruiting for an experienced Premises Manager to join a welcoming primary school in the Canada Water area of Southwark from September.This is a long-term position for someone who has previous experience working as a school caretaker, premises manager or site manager and is confident taking responsibility for the day-to-day running and security of the school premises.

Opening and closing the school each dayEnsuring the school site is safe, secure and well maintainedTaking responsibility for whole-school health and safety complianceCarrying out regular site checks and reporting any issuesOrganising and overseeing general maintenanceCompleting basic DIY and handy work around the schoolLiaising with contractors and external services when requiredEnsuring the school buildings, grounds and facilities are kept to a high standardResponding to day-to-day premises issues and emergenciesBeing the main point of responsibility for the school site

Has previous experience as a school caretaker, premises manager or site managerUnderstands school-based health and safety requirementsIs confident carrying out general maintenance and DIY tasksIs reliable, proactive and highly organisedCan work independently and use their own initiativeIs confident being the lone premises person on siteHas excellent communication skillsTakes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and well-run school environment
