The Law Society of Ireland is the professional body for the solicitor's profession in Ireland. We are inviting applications for a Practice Regulation Administrator in the Regulation Department of the Law Society.
The successful candidate will have excellent administration skills, be comfortable with the use of databases and maintain flexibility in relation to evening and weekend overtime where arising.
The position will be full time on a two-year fixed contract.
Main Duties & Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will carry out the following duties in line with the Society's standards and strategic objectives and as directed by the Head of Practice Regulation.
- Managing all query types related to practice regulation matters including practising certificates, professional indemnity insurance, records, commencement and cessation of practices, and guidance.
- Drafting Certificates of Good Standing and Certificates of Attestation to a high standard
- Managing backdating of practising certificates.
- Assisting with the implementation of Statutory Instruments specifically proof reading.
- Answering calls via the office phone and online call system
- Using the Society's database to access and relay data
- Assisting the Profession with the online application and payment processes.
- Responding to emails in a timely manner.
- Drafting replies to correspondence.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
- Professional & polite work ethic essential.
- Proficient, hardworking, and calm under pressure.
- A high standard of English in terms of verbal communication and writing essential.
- Experience with legal administrative work is an advantage
- Attention to detail is crucial.
- Experience working with databases.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- High level of discretion in terms of confidentiality required.
