Overview

Are you currently working as a Senior Keyworker or an Early Help Practice Manager? Then we have an opportunity for a Practice Manager in a varied and interesting role. Are you wanting to be part of the transformation that will be happening across Early Help and Social Care? If so, then please apply for the Early Help Practice Manager post based in Eastbourne as part of the Family Help Pilot (phase one of Family Help reforms).

We're looking for a creative and professionally curious Practice Manager to become part of our Family Help teams in Eastbourne. You will be supervising a team of early help keyworkers and senior key workers, working alongside a Social Work Practice Manager who will be supervising a team of social workers and social work seniors.

In this vital new role, you will be responsible forproviding motivation and leadership, to ensure an effective service is provided, and positive outcomes are delivered for children and families. You will lead, nurture and motivate others by developing a learning culture in the team as well as managing performance and quality assurance. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the evaluation of the Family Help pilot to shape future service delivery across Family Help teams.

The right person for this role will have good leadership experience within an Early Help team and experience with:

Responsibilities
  • Provide motivation and leadership to ensure an effective service is provided and positive outcomes are delivered for children and families.
  • Lead, nurture and motivate others by developing a learning culture in the team as well as managing performance and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of the Family Help pilot to shape future service delivery across Family Help teams.
Qualifications
  • Level 6 (Degree) qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Experience with leadership within an Early Help team and ability to communicate effectively in challenging and complex circumstances to support professional decision making.
  • Staff supervision and management, team motivation and team building.
  • Providing expert practice consultation and promote respect for Early Help.
  • Promote professional accountability, authority and expertise.
