Job Description

Our client is a high-growth, UK-wide group of Solicitors (Legal Services). With sizable recent investment and a disruptive mindset, this group has ambitious plans for both UK-wide M&A and organic growth over the next 3-5 years.

As part of the company's continued expansion, FRS has been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of an experienced Practice Director / CEO to join the group.

This position is being recruited on a full-time, permanent basis and offers a high level of flexibility for candidates to be based across their offices in the Northern Home Counties, along with hybrid working once established.

Working closely with the Partner Group, this is a key role within the group, forming part of the executive team. This position will be wide-reaching and crucial to the company's ongoing growth and expansion.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Management of support staff including Training/Recruitment - HR, H&S
  2. Operational performance control & review, refining and developing KPIs / Metrics / MI to monitor performance, tendering & bids for new business and growth
  3. Building and maintaining relationships with C Suite and Fee Earners (Business Partnering)
  4. Practitioner work-stream coordination and mentoring support
  5. Financial governance & control (Assistant COFA), regulatory & statutory compliance, policies & controls
  6. Strategic business planning, working closely with C Suite on future growth and M&A
  7. Facilities management, supplier outsourcing, marketing, IT, and general firm administration

Candidates should be comfortable joining a dynamic and growing business, with a passion for ongoing change and improvement.

Applicants must have recent experience operating within the legal services industry, ideally at Practice Manager, Practice Director, or CEO level. A sound understanding of industry regulations, including SRA, is essential, along with the ability to build and develop a high-functioning support staff team.

This role offers variety and progression, with excellent scope for ongoing development as part of the group's expansion plans.

The basic salary is up to £130,000, with benefits and bonus available.
