Salary: €83,900 - €101,207
Contract:3-Year Contract
Working Arrangements:Hybrid / three days from home
Location: Dublin 2

35 hour working week with flexitime, 27 days annual leave with flexitime to accrue additional leave, very central location in Dublin 2

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experiencedPR and Communications Manager to join the Office of the Chief Executive within a leading national public sector organisation.

This newly created role will lead the development and delivery of a strategic stakeholder engagement programme, strengthening relationships with government bodies, industry, healthcare organisations, media and other key partners. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will provide strategic advice, manage high-profile stakeholder and media engagement, and help shape the organisation's external communications and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an organisation-wide stakeholder engagement strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior external stakeholders.
  • Lead media relations, reputation management and crisis communications.
  • Advise senior leadership on stakeholder engagement and emerging issues.
  • Coordinate engagement activities across the organisation to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Manage stakeholder events, briefings and external communications.
  • Lead and develop a small team while managing external communications suppliers.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Communications, Public Affairs, Public Relations, Political Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' senior experience in stakeholder engagement, media relations, corporate communications or public affairs.
  • Experience advising senior leaders on complex communications or reputational issues.
  • Excellent relationship-building, influencing and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience within the public sector, healthcare, regulatory or similarly complex environment is highly desirable.
