PowerBI Developer

Power BI Developer | Remote (EU) | Contract until EOY 2026

We're looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join a long-term international project, helping deliver high-quality Business Intelligence solutions that drive data-led decision making.

This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with strong Power BI expertise who also has experience with Qlik environments or migrations. Experience with Deneb custom visuals would be a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
• Build scalable data models and semantic layers
• Develop advanced DAX calculations, KPIs and business metrics
• Create and optimise ETL processes using Power Query (M)
• Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders
• Optimise report performance and usability
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI governance best practices
• Support migration and enhancement of Qlik Sense/QlikView reports into Power BI
• Produce technical documentation and support production deployments
• Troubleshoot reporting and data issues

Required Skills

• 3-8+ years of Power BI development experience
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Power BI Desktop
  • DAX
  • Power Query (M)
  • Data modelling
• Experience designing enterprise dashboards and reporting solutions
• Understanding of Power BI Service, workspaces and deployment processes
• Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Strong SQL skills
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills
• Fluent English

Nice to Have

• Qlik Sense or QlikView experience
• Experience migrating reports from Qlik to Power BI
• Experience with Deneb custom visuals
• Azure data platform exposure
• BI governance and best practices
