Salary/Rate: £862 Per Day - Inside IR35
Job Type: 9 Month Contract

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled PowerOn Engineer to join their team for a Nine-month contract

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Continual performance improvement of the business-critical Operational Applications
• Improving monitoring and management of operational systems to reduce the number of faults that cause disruptions to the customer's service and developing a Strategic Asset Management Plan for the OT Applications and Infrastructure.
• Authorising developments in current OT infrastructure working with the Application suppliers, SSE IT, Neos Networks and the SSE customer to develop, test and authorise any changes to architecture of existing Platinum, Gold and Silver level OT Applications.
• Authorising the completion of Operational Acceptance Testing for the infrastructure for the business-critical OT Applications. This includes approval of handover into support and approval of key no/no-go decisions.
• Provide a development environment for ensuring that the RTS Technical Engineers have sufficient technical and application knowledge to be able to provide a robust Support Service and Project Engineering service for the portfolio of Operational Applications
• Maintain and continuously develop their own technical and procedural expertise to set the standards for others to follow.
• Maintaining a technical and procedural expertise for the Platinum, Gold and Silver level OT Applications such as PowerOn, PI and ODMS, attending appropriate technical forums and contributing to the processes that develop documentation and technical standards.

Required Skills/Experience

Hands-on engineering or architectural, design or training subject matter expertise in the following:

• GE Vernova PowerOn - highly desirable/essential (other tools/technology considered)
• ADMS system knowledge
• SCADA - Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems knowledge
• AVEVA PI
• ODMS - Operational Data Management Systems
