Job Description

Power Conversion Solution (PCS) is the new Global Products Group within Hitachi Energy, created through the merger of the GES and PCS teams. We specialize in innovative technological solutions for the renewable energy sector, with a strong focus on power electronics and grid connection control. Our flagship product is our inverters.

Key Responsibilities


  • Design and develop power converters from concept to functional prototype.
  • Analyze system requirements and implement electronic and control solutions.
  • Perform simulations and implement control strategies on microcontroller platforms.
  • Lead validation, testing, and commissioning of power conversion systems.
  • Specify and design hardware components: drivers, semiconductors, protections, and cooling systems.
  • Support documentation, technical reporting, and compliance processes.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related).
  • Advanced English level (B2+) - required.
  • Experience in power electronics design and control systems.
  • Skilled in simulation tools (e.g., PSCAD, Digsilent, SPICE).
  • Familiar with power topologies, semiconductor selection, and converter validation.

Valuable Experience (Nice to Have):

  • Use of SiC/GaN semiconductors and driver design.
  • Testing automation, HIL systems, and lab instrumentation.
  • PCB design and embedded system validation.


Preferred Experience:

  • At least 2 years in similar roles or with relevant technologies.
