Introduction

Howden is looking for a skilled BI Developer to help us drive insights and business outcomes. The role will sit within the Group Data team, mainly using Power BI, but also supporting tools such as SSMS and Databricks. The candidate should have an understanding of the insurance industry and good communication skills for liaising with business teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and present high-impact reports and visualizations to senior management, providing insights aligned with business strategies.
  2. Understand current data usage within the business and help build solutions around these requirements.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear data analysis and reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience in data analysis, data modelling, and business intelligence.
  • Expertise in Power BI, SQL Server, SSMS, and cloud platforms like Azure and Databricks.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
