# Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Data Science & Health InformaticsUniversity of Brigant Edinburgh, United KingdomRemoteFull TimeMedical & Healthcare About this roleThe Centre for Health Informatics at University of Brigant is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join an interdisciplinary team investigating epidemiological data modeling, electronic health record analytics, and privacy-preserving machine learning.Key Responsibilities:• Conduct empirical computational analyses on longitudinal health and epidemiological datasets.• Draft high-impact research papers for publication in leading biomedical informatics journals (JAMIA, Lancet Digital Health).• Collaborate with international health partners and co-author institutional grant proposals.• Deliver occasional guest masterclasses in advanced biostatistics and data science modules. Requirements• PhD in Data Science, Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related discipline.• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch) or R for statistical and predictive modeling.• Demonstrated track record of first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.• Experience handling structured EHR data, clinical ontologies (SNOMED, ICD), or synthetic data generation.
